# Grace for the work in front of you

A free Faithful Decisions reflection, prepared for Rama Douglas’s initiative.

God made us to know him and love our neighbors. Sin turns us away from him, and achievement cannot restore the relationship. Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again. Through him, God offers forgiveness and new life, received by repentance and faith rather than earned by performance. Read Romans 3:23–24, 1 Corinthians 15:3–4, Ephesians 2:8–10, and John 15:1–12 in context.

Bring one decision before God:

1. Receive: Your worth does not depend on getting this decision right.
2. Tell the truth: What do you know, what is uncertain, and what are you trying to protect or prove?
3. Love your neighbor: Who is affected, especially someone with less power?
4. Seek wisdom: Pray, read Scripture, and speak with someone trustworthy who can disagree with you.
5. Act faithfully: Take the next honest step. Be willing to apologize, make repair, and learn.

A profitable outcome does not prove God’s approval. A difficult outcome does not prove his absence.

You might pray: Jesus, I have tried to make myself enough. Help me receive your grace, turn from what is false, and follow you in the work and relationships before me.
